Eventually Wrong
Software, writing, and learning — kept honest by a standing assumption that any of it might be wrong by morning.

Why "Eventually Wrong"?
Two ideas gave this site its name.
The first is Gibbs' Rule 51 from NCIS — "Sometimes you're wrong." It's a short, blunt reminder that being mistaken is normal, that it's fine, and that the right response is to stay open to ideas that aren't my own.
The second is the idea that there are no absolute truths. Any decision can be pushed to a point where it's no longer the best choice. Even one that was right when it was made deserves to be re-examined as things change. Given enough time, it will be eventually wrong — and that's the point: keep looking, keep revisiting, keep updating.
